Samantha Mathas
Legal Assistant
Sam joined the team at Craig & Craig, LLC in February of 2018. Sam is a lifelong resident of Northwest Indiana who graduated from Lowell High School and has been in the legal profession for 10 years, working in some of the most difficult legal environments.
Sam has a keen sense of humor and brings out the best in others, according to a fortune cookie from Panda Express, a fast-casual Chinese restaurant. She balances her work at the office with raising her two daughters, Evalena and Emma, and her dog, Marge.

Victoria Balfe “Torrie”
Legal Assistant
Torrie joined Craig & Craig, LLC in August 2024 after completing her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics, with a minor in Legal Studies, from Hartwick College. While at Hartwick, she was actively involved in various extracurricular activities, including being a member of the Swimming and Diving team, the Law Club, and the Political Science, Economics, and Hartwick Honors Societies. Additionally, she played an instrumental role as the Vice President of the Student Government Association and was a part of the Hartwick/SUNY Chamber Orchestra.
Torrie is also a member of the Hartwick College Alumni Board of Directors. She is currently gaining valuable experience as a legal assistant at Craig & Craig, LLC before pursuing law school.
